Description:
CP 2-8-2 Mikado #5177 took on the rugged Canadian Rockies during its nearly 45 years of service. Buiilt by the Montreal Locomotive Works in September of 1913 as CP 5077, it was renumbered later to #5177. Specs - serial #52764, class P1e, 63" drivers, 190 psi boiler pressure, 23x32" cylinders, engine weight of 280,000 lb, tractive effort of 43,395 lb. The loco was scrapped in May of 1958. No date was given for this photo taken in Field, BC, Canada.J.R. Quinn photo
